Bangalore unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a function in front of the Town Hall to commemorate the centenary year of Banga-bhanga movement. Thousands of students from different schools and colleges of the city attended the function in their uniform and sang Vande Mataram in a group with background music. Prior to this, Dr Prabhakar Baht, RSS Dakshin Karnataka Prant Karyavah highlighted the necessity of celebrating the event. More than 15 professional Kannada singers participated in the programme.
