In fact, Islam could be an extremely tolerant, peace-loving and constructive faith, if its followers put more and more emphasis on the tolerant ?Makki? revelations of the Quran and discard the violent and terrible ?Madani? counterparts. It is these ?Madani? revelations that inspire Jehad and ask Muslims to kill the non-Muslim kafirs and set up an empire of Islam or to bring the entire world under the banner of Islam. So, one may hope that the Agricultural Islam of South-East. Asia would, in near future, win a victory over the intolerant, aggressive and pastoral Islam of the Middle East, and lead the world community of Muslims to peace and prosperity, by following the ?Makki? verses of the Quran.
