A short biography on Shri Guruji

FOC

“Na Hindu patito bhavet” (no Hindu is ever fallen) this mantra was the unequivocal faith of Shri Guruji. At a time when the Hindu society was reeling under the heightened conversion activities by the missionaries, Shri Guruji gave a call for their reconversion. Some sections felt that the Hindus who had changed their faith were “fallen” and could not be called Hindus, Shri Guruji said “it is the sacred religious duty of all the Hindus to bring back all the converts to their original Hindu dharma.”

This and many such inspiring anecdotes from the life of Shri Guruji make the short biography ‘Shri Guruji’ by Shri H.V. Seshadri interesting. Seshadriji is Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh of RSS. This book is the translation into English of the original written by Shri Seshadri. It traces the life of Shri Guruji, highlighting his role in the major political, cultural and spiritual issues which challenged the young democratic India. From Swadeshi to gou-hatya, from the welfare of the Vanavasis to the foreign affairs of India, Shri Guruji revealed his visionary perception, unimpeachable commitment and inspiring leadership. It was as though he saw the Chinese manipulating behind the friendly handshake they pretended. In 1951, Shri Guruji warned in public of an impeding attack by the Chinese.

When Shri Guruji passed away, in an unprecedented gesture, the parliament paid tributes to him, who has never been its member. What each one of the member had to say is illustrative of the colossal personality of Shri Guruji. The 44-page book, priced at Rs. 10 has been brought out by the Suruchi Prakashan, New Delhi.
