The women'swing of Sanskar Bharati organised a function in Meerut to celebrate the 500th birth anniversary of the great poetess, Mirabai. The function began with recital of bhajans of Mira by Dr Ragini Pratap and Sangita Gaur. The child artistes presented different phases of Mira'slife in a colourful manner. The character of Mira by a minor Sangmitra Chaudhari moved the audience. Folk-singer Malini Awasthi also presented a programme on Mira while, girl students of Manohar Lal Women College sang a song of Mira. The function was inaugurated by Bijendra Aggrawal, president, Vyapar Sangh. Shri Bankelal Gaur, national general secretary of Sanskar Bharati was also present at the function.
