The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of RSS, the apex general council, held its annual meeting in Jaipur from March 12 to March 14. About 1400 delegates from all over the country attended the meet. Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) presided over the proceedings. The three day meeting was guided by the Sarsanghchalak, K.S. Sudarshan and other senior functionaries of the RSS. Besides the Sangh functionaries, important representatives from associated organisations such as Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bharatiya Mazadoor Sangh (BMS), Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM), Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (ABVKA), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also attended the meet. They include Shri Ashok Singhal, Dr Praveen Togadia, Shri Dattopant Thengadi, Shri S. Gurumurthy, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu and Shri Sanjay Joshi.
The press room of the meeting was inaugurated by Shrikant Joshi, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh on March 9. Speaking on the occasion he said that elected representative of the Sangh participate in the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha. The press room was named after renowned journalist, Pt. Jhanvarmal Sharma. Apart from other issues concerning the nation today, the Pratinidhi Sabha also discussed the discriminatory anti-women bill introduced in the J&K Assembly snatching away the property and job rights of Kashmiri women, and the coming general elections. An exhibition depicting the Sangh work and Rajasthan culture was also organised at the meeting.
Besides the Sangh functionaries, important representatives from associated organisations such as VHP, BMS, BKS, SJM and BJP also attended the meet.
