DEHRADUN: The three-day National Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the world’s largest student organization working with the resolve of national reconstruction, concluded successfully in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. The conference took place from November28-30, 2025 and saw participation from delegates across all Indian states as well as Nepal. The presence of more than 1,200 representatives made this conference especially notable.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. S. Somanath, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award ceremony as the chief guest.
Abhay Pratap Singh of BHU Appointed National Secretary
During the conference, Abhay Pratap Singh from Kashi Prant and research scholar in the Department of Political Science at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) was entrusted with the important responsibility of National Secretary of ABVP.
A native of Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh, Abhay Pratap Singh is currently conducting research on India–US relations. Prior to this appointment, he has served ABVP in several key roles including Central Working Committee Member, State Secretary, National Executive Member, BHU Unit President, and Prant Working Committee Member. He has also actively led major student movements such as the BHU fee hike protest and the Reopen BHU campaign, along with several university-level initiatives and student-centric programs.
