LONDON: Terrorism, constructing fake narratives and hypocrisy runs in the blood of the Pakistan government. They have made these an integral part of their state policy because they cannot wage and win real battles with truth and by abiding to international norms. One such shameful episode for Pakistan had erupted in the United Kingdom where the Pakistan High Commission in London unapologetically had constructed fake narratives against India and sought to defame the country and its intellectuals.
However, Lawyer and Author J. Sai Deepak with evidence outrightly destroyed these chains of lies weaved by Pakistan. A debate was organised in Oxford Union, London on November 29 between the representatives from India and Pakistan on the topic, “India’s policy towards Pakistan is a populist strategy sold as security policy”. J. Sai Deepak was one among the invited speakers.
The Pakistan High Commission in London abruptly announced that all the three speakers from the Indian side, Former Chief of the Indian Army General Manoj Naravane, Subramanian Swamy and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot had walked out of the debate without any specific explanation. This fake narrative etched by Pakistan to defame India was exposed and slapped by J. Sai Deepak.
The renowned author gave the exact timeline of the episode and exposed how Pakistan had built a disinformation campaign against India, when the loophole was actually on its side. “Trust the Pakistanis to make a pigsty even out of the Oxford Union. And as always they are genetically incapable of being truthful. So, here’s the complete story of how this so-called debate played out”, explained J. Sai Deepak.
The fake drama tailored by Pakistan to defame India played out in this way and ultimately Pakistan fell into the pit that was dug by itself to defame India. However, Islamabad slipped into the pit as Sai Deepak exposed its hypocrisy with evidence.

The President of the Oxford Union(the debate venue where the Indian representatives were invited) Moosa Harraj is apparently the son of Muhammad Raza Hayat Hiraj, the Minister of Defence Production for Pakistan. The treasurer of the Oxford Union, Raza Nazar is also a Pakistani. Thus, Sai Deepak explains that one might understand the hidden and true agenda of the organisers of the debate.
J. Sai Deepak was also one among the invited speakers to the Oxford Union, London to speak on “India’s policy towards Pakistan is a populist strategy sold as security policy”. The other participants for the debate were former Indian Army Chief Manoj Naravane and Subramanian Swamy. However, just two days prior to the event it was informed that Manoj Naravane and Subramanian Swamy are unable to attend the debate due to some other unavoidable circumstances. Thus, the Oxford Union reiterated Sai Deepak to suggest some alternative speakers. However, later, the Union asserted that Priyanka Chaturvedi and Suhel Seth are the alternate speakers.
But, the chaos, drama and confusion didn’t end there. Again on November 26, the Oxford Union said that both the confirmed alternate speakers are cancelled. So, they yet again requested Sai Deepak to suggest other alternative speakers, preferably those already in the UK, because the event was on the evening of November 27. As per Sai Deepak’s quest and request Manu Khajuria and Pandit Satish K. Sharma accepted to be the speaker in the debate.
It was also informed by the Oxford Union that the speakers from the Pakistan side will be Hina Rabbani Khar and Khawaja Muhammad Asif. Also, the third participant from the Pakistani side was not informed to the Indian side. But, Sai Deepak says, “we were ready regardless of their team composition”.
The real drama from Pakistan unleashes just a few hours prior to the event. Three hours before the debate, it was informed by the Oxford Union that the Pakistan side hadn’t yet landed in London. “Obviously, I was unhappy given the time and effort that had gone into this. I conveyed my displeasure at the abysmal handling of the event”, asserted Sai Deepak. “Since we were told that the Pakistani side hadn’t turned up, we didn’t see the point in going to Oxford. So we stayed back in London”.
Moosa Haraj apologized to Sai Deepak and claimed that he received a call at 10AM the previous day saying that the Pakistani side will not be coming to the debate. But, the Pakistani speakers were indeed in London and Moosa had just lied to Sai Deepak. “The Pakistani team was staying and perhaps still is at the George Street Hotel in Oxford, the same hotel that was arranged for my stay”, affirms Sai Deepak.
Thus, the culprit is completely the Oxford Union, Pakistani speakers and the Pakistan High Commission in the UK. The entire episode seems like it was preplanned to defame India. Keeping the fault on its side, Pakistan High Commission unapologetically dared to shift the fault on Indian speakers and defamed them by building fake narratives that the speakers from India walked out.
Thus, Sai Deepak destroyed the mask of lies crafted by Pakistan and challenged them. “If the Pakistani side is still at Oxford, they should find thee courage to debate us on the topic instead of doing an Operation Manhoos ki phati hui Baniyan where their Defence Minister couldn’t even produce evidence of their so-called success”, said Sai Deepak. He also stated that the row clearly illustrates the nexus between Pakistan High Commission in UK and the Oxford Union, with the agenda to spread fake narratives against India.
“Why is the Pakistan team hiding behind kids like their terrorists instead of facing us in a live debate for the world to see? Rest assured, we will be civil but we follow a no prisoners taken policy atleast in a debate. So can the Pakistani team collectively grow a spine?”, confronts Sai Deepak. He also slammed Oxford Union for being a “mouth piece” of the Paksitan High Commission in the United Kingdom.
Ultimately, Sai Deepak takes a sharp jibe at Pakistan and says that the Pakistan team, true to its national ethos, has mastered the art of deserting the battlefield even before the battle begins. It cannot confront and take on the opposite side in a direct face-off. All that Pakistan can do is wage wars from behind the shadows, by constructing fake narratives, weaving lies and sponsoring terrorism.
