The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a special event at S.R. Group of Institutions, Lucknow, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram”, a symbol of national pride and unity. On this occasion, more than 5,000 students sang the immortal composition of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee together, paying tribute to Maa Bharati. The event was graced by the presence of Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of S.R. Group of Institutions, and Ghanshyam Shahi, Regional Organisation Minister of ABVP’s Eastern Uttar Pradesh Region.

ABVP karyakartas remain dedicated to the ideal of “Nation First,” working actively in academic and social spheres. The organisation is celebrating the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” across the country. The design of ABVP’s upcoming National Conference logo also embodies the spirit of the tricolour, symbolising unity and patriotism. The campus reverberated with devotion and pride as thousands of students sang the song in harmony. The event also highlighted the song’s historical significance in India’s freedom struggle.

Ghanshyam Shahi, Zonal Organising Secretary of ABVP East UP, said, “‘Vande Mataram,’ composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, stands as an eternal emblem of national unity and pride. From the time of our national awakening, this song has continued to guide us. Witnessing thousands of students singing this song in one voice reaffirms its timeless importance in both history and the present. It fills us with confidence that Bharat is progressing in a positive direction, with these nationalist youth playing a pivotal role in shaping its future.”

Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of S.R. Group of Institutions, remarked, “Today’s event is not merely a cultural program, but a profound moment to connect with the very soul of India. When thousands of students sing ‘Vande Mataram’ in unison, it transcends music, it becomes a pledge toward a stronger and more united nation. Such programs instill patriotism, discipline, and a deep sense of social responsibility among students.”
