Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has exclaimed that there is no vacancy for the Prime Minister post in the country. While speaking to a private media platform, Singh has reiterated that Narendra Modi will be the Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2029 and 2034 elections. PM Modi will be the undisputed candidate of the BJP even in the upcoming years as well. These statements by the Defence Minister have drawn curtains for the debates surrounding the tenure of Prime Minister Modi.
During the interview Rajnath Singh also revisited his long-standing association with the Prime Minster since 1980s. He has hailed the unique capability of the PM Modi to easily connect with the masses, find simpler solutions to complex problems and boldness to take firm decisions during unprecedented and critical circumstances.
“Even the world’s top leaders seek his advice on global matters. I have never seen another Prime Minister receive so many personal birthday calls from world leaders”, recalled Rajnath Singh. Prime Minister Modi on September 17 received Birthday greetings from the world leaders, beyond the geopolitical binaries. US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and several others sent their wishes to PM Modi.
Rajnath Singh also hailed the journey of PM Modi to the helm that began from grassroots. He said, BJP designated PM Modi as the campaign convener in 2013 and in 2014 he was announced as the Prime Minister candidate with the support of the parliamentary board. He further added that the ‘mood of the nation, aspires for the leadership of Modi’. He also affirmed that the way India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan for the Pahalgam terror attack, through Operation Sindoor is a testament to the unequivocal leadership style of PM Modi.
