New Delhi: The election campaign of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections continued vigorously on September 14. As part of this drive, ABVP’s central panel candidates—Aryan Mann for President, Govind Tanwar for Vice President, Kunal Chaudhary for Secretary, and Deepika Jha for Joint Secretary—carried out a door-to-door campaign across paying guest accommodations (PGs) and hostels from North Campus to South Campus.
ABVP reached out to students residing in hundreds of PGs and hostels located in areas such as Mukherjee Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Malka Ganj, Satya Niketan, Naraina Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Alipur, Rajouri Garden, and Lajpat Nagar. The campaign was conducted in small groups of 5–10 volunteers, during which ABVP introduced students to its agenda, distributed its manifesto, and appealed for their support in the upcoming elections. During these interactions, the central panel candidates received overwhelming support and affection from the students.
Speaking on the occasion, ABVP Delhi State Secretary Sarthak Sharma said: “Every student of Delhi University is part of the ABVP family. In this spirit, our candidates are meeting students at their PGs and hostels to personally share our manifesto with them. We are fully confident that on 18 September, during the student union elections, DU students will place their trust and valuable votes in ABVP, ensuring our victory on all four seats.”
