Plot to serve Non-veg on Maha Shivratri exposed: SAU verdict unmasks Left Cabal’s conspiracy, vindicates ABVP stand

The internal investigation report at South Asian University (SAU) has confirmed deliberate attempts to serve non-vegetarian food in the university mess on Maha Shivratri — a sacred day for millions of Hindus. The report lends credibility to ABVP’s allegations and has sparked widespread outrage over what many are calling an ideological provocation by the Left cabal within campus politics

SAU report exposes Leftist plot to serve Non-Veg on Maha Shivratri, ABVP stands vindicated

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) welcomes the recent verdict by the Proctorial Committee of South Asian University (SAU), which has decisively exposed the malicious conspiracy orchestrated by the left-aligned student elements on campus. This verdict has not only vindicated the stance of ABVP but also reaffirmed the principles of truth and justice.

On February 26, during the sacred festival of Maha Shivratri, students who were observing a fast as per their religious belief were deceitfully served non-vegetarian food by Yashada Sawant, the then Mess Secretary. This action, committed with full awareness of the festival’s religious significance, was not only insensitive but provocative. When students raised rightful objections, Sudipto Das a friend of Yashada Sawant, responded violently against the fasting students, causing panic and unrest in the campus environment.

What followed was even more disturbing: false and fabricated allegations of sexual harassment were levelled against the protesting students by the same individuals. This classic tactic of character assassination, especially targeting religiously observant students, reflects a dangerous and morally bankrupt strategy by the so-called left-liberal cabal on campus.

After a thorough and independent inquiry, the University Proctorial Committee established:
1. Expulsion of Sudipto Das, who acted violently and unethically.
2. A penalty of Rs 5000 on Yashada Sawant for her role in provoking the incident through deceitful mess management.

ABVP Delhi’s State Secretary Sarthak Sharma said, “This was not merely an insult to the religious sentiments, but a direct attack on the dignity and faith of students. Everyone saw how peacefully fasting students were provoked, and when they raised their voices in peaceful protest, false allegations were levelled against them. But the truth cannot be suppressed for long. Today’s decision proves that no matter how organised falsehood may be, in the end, it is the truth that prevails. ABVP sincerely welcomes the university administration’s verdict and hopes that in future too, strict action will be taken against such conspiracies and misdeeds.”

This verdict completely exonerates the ABVP and those who stood up for their religious rights, dignity, and peaceful student life. Once again, ABVP reiterates its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of all students-irrespective of belief-and standing against any ideology that seeks to divide, defame, or dominate our educational institutions through deceit and intimidation.

ABVP appeals to the university administration to remain vigilant against ideological radicalism on campus and ensure that student spaces remain free of coercion, manipulation, and anti-cultural propaganda.

ABVP shall continue its mission of student-centric activism with even greater resolve, guided by the values of academic excellence, cultural dialogue, and regional cooperation.
