Guwahati: Love Jihad murder jolts Assam yet another time on July 19. The victim is a young and bright college student from Bajali district of Assam who was brutally murdered by Arif Ahmed, her alleged boyfriend.

As per report, the 19 years old victim was trapped by the accused Arif depicting himself as a Hindu boy. They had a relationship for a few months when she was studying in higher secondary school. But she came to know about the real identity of Arif. After knowing the truth the victim abandoned all her relationship with the accused person. She also refused to meet him. As per her family she didn’t have any communication with the accused person for the last two years.

But on the night of July 18, accused love jihadi Arif stormed into her rented room in Sarupeta town and killed her. Later Arif tried to turn the murder into suicide by hanging her with a rope. Additional SP Trinayan Bhuyan said that the accused has been arrested, and the victim’s body was sent to postmortem. Primary investigation suggested that it is a pre-planned murder and details of it will come up in further investigation.

On the other hand, Nagaon police in central Assam arrested one Saddam Hussain on 18th July night who killed a tribal girl and threw her body on a state highway on 15th June. The unidentified body of the young girl was found on state highway in Nagaon district on 16th June. Investigation revealed that the victim was a tribal girl from Karbi Anglong district. The accused Saddam has confessed that he killed the victim inside a moving car. Sources revealed that the accused was a car driver and the victim was travelling in his car. She hired Saddam to board a bus in Nagaon bus station in the late evening of 15th June. The accused took her to an isolated place taking advantage of the dark and allegedly raped her. Later he killed her and threw her body in the state highway in Nagaon town in the middle of the night.

Family of the victim tribal girl said that she went to Diphu town on June 15 and has been missing since then. They came to know about the incident from the police only. But how she reached Nagaon district at night with the accused Saddam Hussain, the poor family is clueless.
