The Border Security Force (BSF) has emerged as India’s unyielding shield and sword along the western front, countering Pakistan-backed aggression with unparalleled courage and precision, all without additional troop deployments.
As cross-border tensions flared following the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent escalations, the BSF’s resolute defense across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir earned praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and military leadership, showcasing its pivotal role in safeguarding India’s sovereignty during a week of war-like conditions.

The BSF’s surveillance grid detected the movement, and rapid response teams launched a precise counter-operation. Within hours, seven terrorists were neutralised before they could breach the border, preventing a potential escalation.
In a calibrated retaliation, BSF troops targeted and destroyed enemy assets, including a belt-fed machine gun (BMG) bunker at the Dhandhar post, as confirmed by post-operation surveillance footage.
