Dr Hedgewar was a self-awakened personality who paved the way for the revival of glorious Bharat. If we study the socio-political and religious situation in Bharat and around the world over the last four decades, and sincerely analyse Doctor Keshav Baliram Hedgewar’s vision, mission, and ideology, we feel truly blessed to have such a great personality with a clear futuristic thinking 100 years ago, when Bharatiyas developed a colonial mindset that was undermining their own culture and Dharm. At the period, many intellectuals mocked Dr Hedgewar for his ideology of uniting Hindus and developing each individual’s personal and national character.
Strengthening Bharatiya Society
Imagine what would have happened to this great nation if Doctorji’s organisation, and later many institutes and organisations inspired by Dr Hedgewar and subsequent Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), had not begun working in various sectors and all segments of divided society. The Left-Islamic-missionaries triad, with the support of Deep State global market forces, would have shattered this nation into pieces, leaving it as the poorest state and society that has forgotten its roots.
A Visionary Par Excellence
Why am I saying this? Despite the fact that many institutes and organisations have been inspired by Doctor Hedgewar’s ideology, we are still seeing how a triad of Left-Islamic-missionaries is attempting to weaken this nation by dividing Hindus and promoting pro-Islam and Christianity ideologies. They have been somewhat effective, but not entirely, as a result of Dr Hedgewar’s vision and mission, which have been vigorously pursued by millions of Swayamsevaks, numerous institutes, and organisations. After Independence, the political system was hijacked by Left-Islamic-missionary forces, making it easier for them to make anything happen as they saw fit. However, the strong ground force built over decades and inspired by Dr Hedgewar resisted their anti-Bharat plans at all times.
Based on his real-life experiences, Dr Hedgewar grasped the importance of uniting everyone andforming a force, an organisation, to rebuild Hindu society. With such in mind, he created RSS on Vijaya Dashami in 1925
Why Doctorji Decided to Unite Hindus?
What went wrong was that Bharat was subjected to many invasions, exploited by Europeans and Mughals, destroying great cultures and weakening us socially and economically. As a result, it was critical that Hindus unite together so that we would not become slaves again. Let us learn from this story why Doctor Hedgewar believed so. Throughout the day, the deer consumes grass and turns it into protein. Carnivorous creatures, on the other hand, sleep peacefully until they are hungry. Because they are aware that deer is preparing protein for them. They are well aware that deer’s efforts are in line with their needs, and they only need to wait for the proper opportunity to attack deer. These animals sleep soundly in the forest as long as the deer population is healthy, but as the deer population declines, the hungry dreaded wolf seeks a new woodland. What occurred after the Hindu deer worked hard to gather wealth, gold, gems, knowledge, science, land, commerce and an industry? It all started when a terrifying new breed showed up and cleaned up Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and now Kashmir, Kerala, Bengal, and Assam. This breed has evolved solely to hunt, and when people stop being vigilant, they lose great cultural traditions and, in the end, their nation’s honour and heritage.
Uniting Hindus
Doctor Hedgewar’s ideology is not to destroy any religion, but to unite Hindus, thereby strengthening society and the nation. He realised that the vast majority of people had forgotten the origins of great Bharatiya culture, creating a slave mentality and losing their fighting spirit. People have not been willing to concentrate on creating national character. Society has been moulded to fight primarily on the basis of caste, ensuring that people never band together to oppose British and Mughal rule. The minds had become poisoned against the great Vedas, Upanishads, and Bharatiya civilisation. People had forgotten renowned warriors and saints like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, and Swami Vivekanand…They had forgotten the profound knowledge of Bhagavad Gita and Chanakya Niti.
Importance of Forming RSS
All of these realisations prompted Dr Hedgewar to reassess his views. To restore Bharat’s social, economic, and spiritual greatness, grassroots workforce with a multifaceted approach was required, so that our nation would be so strong that no one would dare to invade it again. Based on his real-life experiences, he grasped the importance of uniting everyone and forming a force, an organisation, to rebuild Hindu society. With this in mind, he created the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Vijaya Dashami in 1925. His selfless dedication to the goal of national regeneration may be seen in the fact that, despite being the inspiration behind the RSS’s formation, development, and impact, he was always unwilling to step into the spotlight. He thus became an example of how a person should behave in public, forsaking self-interest and ambition. Dr Hedgewar had no desire for self-promotion, fame, or seeking credit for whatever job he did for people, society, or the nation. As a revolutionary, he had been schooled to work from the ground up, and he internalised this idealism as an essential part of his personality. Despite a decade since the Sangh’s founding, the Central Provinces Government still believed Dr BS Moonje, a Hindu Mahasabha leader and close associate of Dr. Hedgewar, was the true founder of the RSS. During his lifetime, he actively discouraged the creation of his biography.
The first tiny booklet about Dr Hedgewar could be published only after his death. This piece was created by VN Shende in 1941. Narayan Hari Palkar penned his life sketch two decades later. Dr Hedgewar’s talks, publications, and remembrances were widely covered in Central Province newspapers.
