Devotees flock to Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Janmabhoomi
The first morning of 2025 witnessed an extraordinary surge of devotion as thousands of devotees thronged Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, braving shivering cold and piercing winds to seek blessings from Shri Ram Lalla. From the break of dawn, the holy city of Ayodhya was alive with chants of devotion, as devotees queued patiently for darshan, their faith unwavering despite adverse weather conditions.
Anticipating the record turnout, preparations were underway weeks in advance. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra and local administration worked tirelessly to ensure smooth and hassle-free darshan for all. Additional lines were set up, darshan hours were extended, and necessary facilities were arranged to manage the influx. This New Year’s Day marked a unique occasion as it was the first celebration after the enthronement of Shri Ram Lalla in the newly established mandir.
From midnight itself, devotees began assembling near the banks of the holy river Saryu, with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” reverberating through the air. The Municipal Corporation and voluntary organizations played a crucial role in providing comfort, arranging bonfires, and distributing warm clothes to combat the cold.
The harsh weather seemed no match for the unyielding faith of the devotees. Despite temperatures plummeting, the city was abuzz with activity. Enthusiastic devotees filled the mandir premises, with no space left even to stand at popular sites like Hanuman Garhi, Dashrath Mahal, and Kanak Bhawan. Long queues extended outside these mandirs, yet the orderliness and discipline of the devotees ensured a smooth flow.
For many, the darshan of Shri Ram Lalla symbolised a blessed beginning to the new year. Devotees expressed their belief that the blessings received at the start of the year would bring comfort and prosperity throughout. The unwavering devotion and joyous atmosphere in Ayodhya set a spiritual tone for the year ahead.
Ayodhya, the city of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, once again showcased its unique ability to balance the fervor of faith with discipline and harmony, leaving an indelible impression on all who participated in this grand spiritual celebration.
