Tributes have poured in from several quarters following the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Canadian Prime Minister who has been the primary cause for poor ties with Bharat also paid his tributes. While offering his condolences, he attempted to make a snide remark abasing the current dispensation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He took to X and wrote, ‘Manmohan Singh’s passing is a loss for India and the world. As one of its longest serving leaders, he transformed the country’s economy and lifted millions out of poverty and built strong bridges with the world-including Canada.’

The last bit of his message in which he says, ‘including Canada’ has drummed up a debate as to what exactly is Trudeau trying to say. It is evident that the Canadian PM who is trying to save his chair was hinting that ties under the current dispensation are not good, but under the UPA it was fine.
Canada has our terrorists; we don’t have theirs
The Modi government since coming to power in 2014 has had a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Jammu and Kashmir is a prime example on how harsh the security mechanism on terrorism as a result of which terror outfits such as the Hizbul Mujahideen have been driven into extinction.
The government has ensured that the Khalistan terrorists do not raise their ugly head in Punjab. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been consistent in probing the gangster-terror nexus case. Breaking this nexus is crucial to ensure that the Khalistan Movement does not revive in Bharat.
While Bharat has been successful in controlling this menace in Punjab, it has not had much success when it comes to the masterminds who are based out of Canada. This is thanks to the pro-Khalistan policy that Trudeau has adopted.
One must understand that Canada shelters most of the wanted terrorists by India. However there are no terrorists wanted by Canada who are being sheltered in India.
In the past ten years since the Modi government took over, Bharat has Madde 26 extradition requests to Canada. Along with this provisional arrest requests to have been made. As of today not one of these requests have been acted upon by Canada. Most of these requests relate to the Khalistan terrorists and the gangsters who back the movement. They have found a safe haven in Canada and due to Trudeau’s policies none of these requests have been honoured.
An official of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is the nodal body of the Interpol tells Organiser that under Trudeau they have no hope that any of these requests would be acted upon. If there is a regime change in Canada then there is hope that some of these requests may be honoured the official said.
Diplomatic war
While Bharat has been patient with Canada despite no action being taken against the terrorists, it has refrained to make sweeping statements which could result in failing relations.
However Trudeau has not shown that same maturity and decided to make baseless allegations against New Delhi. The media in Canada too has parroted his views and often made reckless allegations blaming PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Adviser (NA), Ajit Doval.
What was a workable relationship ended up turning sour thanks to the baseless statements that Trudeau made. Trudeau made all these statements which directly or indirectly backed the terrorists because he relies on Jagmeet Singh the head of the New Democratic Party (NDP) to keep his government safe.
However off late, Trudeau has fallen out of favour with Singh too. Recently following a spate of resignations from the Trudeau government, Singh joined the opposition camp and spoke about introducing a no confidence vote in the parliament against Trudeau in January.
End game Trudeau
Trudeau is currently in a tight spot. President-elect Donald Trump does not spare a single chance to mock Trudeau. Since the meeting the two had recently, Trump has always addressed him as Governor Trudeau.
During their meeting Trudeau had requested Trump not to slap such high tariffs and if this decision was not reconsidered then Canada would not survive. Trump mockingly told him that if that was the case, Canada could become the 51st state of the United States and Trudeau could be its Governor.
Trudeau who has been called a Left leaning lunatic by Trump is also facing a tough time back home. His finance minister resigned citing policy differences. Now his go to man Jagmeet Singh, a known Khalistan backer has released a scathing letter against Trudeau. Trudeau failed his his biggest hob as prime minister and that is work for the people, Singh said.
Singh has also decided to join the opposition to bring down the Trudeau government. If Trudeau does not prorogue parliament then his end could come as early as January 2025. Without Singh’s backing Trudeau does not have the numbers to save his government.
Trudeau’s statement following the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh takes a dig at PM Modi. This is clearly his frustration and another attempt to appease the Khalistanis in Canada. He is well aware that the Khalistanis hate the current dispensation on New Delhi because of its tough stance on terror and also due to the fact that the ugly Khalistan Movement is not being allowed to revive in Bharat.
