Hinduness is an eternal dharma, and the Acharyas of this eternal and Sanatan dharma follow the sewa dharma. The sewa dharma is dharma of humanity, said RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat.

Sarsanghchalak was speaking on the occasion of inauguration ceremony of Hindu Sewa Mahotsav. Hindu Sewa Mahotsav (Service Festival) is organised by the Hindu Aadhyatmik Sewa Sanstha at the college ground of Shikshan Prasarak Mandali. The festival is going on till December 22 and it showcases information about Hindu culture, rituals and social service work. The service works of many temples, social, religious organisations, monasteries and temples of Maharashtra are part of this festival.

The President of Shikshan Prasarak Mandali Adv. S.K. Jain, Vice President Shrikrishna Chitale, President of Hindu Sewa Mahotsav Krishna Kumar Goyal, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Astrologer Labhesh Muni Maharaj, Gaurang Prabhu of ISKCON, National Convener of Hindu Adhyatmik Sewa Sanstha Gunwant Kothari etc. were present at the occasion.

Sarsanghchalak said that while doing Sewa, it is our nature to always stay away from publicity. Those who do Sewa, do it without showing off and continuously desire to serve more. While following the Sewa dharma, we should not be extremists and accept its middle path according to the situation of the land and time. Dharma of the humanity is the dharma of the world and it should be manifested through Sewa. We give slogans for world peace, but it is necessary to keep in mind the condition of minorities elsewhere. Initiatives like Hindu Sewa Mahotsav are held to see and adopt them, and to inspire future generations from them.

We must do what is necessary to earn our living, but beyond the household, we should return double in the form of Sewa. He gave the message that if we have the sense that the world is our guardian and not an object of consumption, then we would inspire and follow the service of family, society, village, country, nation. For this, we should continue to take the vow of service through such festivals.

On this occasion, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said that the nation is made of land, society and tradition. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj served the land of Pune and Rajmata Jijau established Ganesha in this holy land. The peak of all rituals is Sewa and Sewa is worship. The meaning of charity is sharing what I have and not the gratitude. The work of awakening feelings in the new generation will be done through this Hindu Sewa Mahotsav.

ISKCON chief Gaurang Prabhu said that there are 3 points under Hindu Sanatan Dharma: charity, ethics and realisation. They are united with each other, and we can master them through self-realisation. Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs are not different, they are all one.

Labhesh Muni Maharaj said that the soul of our glorious dharma is one and the Sewa Kumbh has started. Hindu Sewa Mahotsav will be at the forefront while explaining the definition of culture to the coming generations.
On this occasion, Gunwant Kothari gave information about the Hindu Sewa Mahotsav that is going on across the country and explained its need. Krishnakumar Goyal gave the introductory speech. President of Hindu Adhyatmik Sewa Sanstha Ashok Gundecha gave the welcome speech while Sunanda Rathi and Sanjay Bhosale gave the introduction. The inauguration ceremony ended with a pasaydan. On this occasion, students of the Mook Badheer Vidyalaya presented various art works.
