Organised by Lok Jagran Manch, the protest demands immediate stop of atrocities against Hindus living in the neighbouring country. Since the creation of Bangladesh, the Hindu community, their properties and their places of worship are being continuously attacked by Islamist. After the ouster of Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, the Hindus are brutally attacked by radical Islamist and the Hindu faith and religion are being targeted by the Islamist. On 3rd December Lok Jagran Manch organised a massive protest rally in Guwahati and across Assam. Thousands of people gathered in Guwahati and raised their voice against the continuous attacks. The protester also demands immediate release of arrested ISKCON sant Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu.

Thousands of people attended the nonviolent demonstration against the persecution of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, our neighbor, at the designated location in Chachal, Guwahati. The demonstrators urged all Indians to take part in the fight to keep this old culture alive. Through the Kamrup Metropolitan District Commissioner, they also delivered a memorandum expressing their profound displeasure with the current situation to Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh.

Concerned residents and Lok Jagran Manch assembled at Court Chariali in Tezpur to express their disapproval of the recent arrest and imprisonment of monk Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh, sparking a massive demonstration.
