Chhatisgarh Foundation Day: CM Vishnu Deo Sai greets citizens, urges them to light lamps at home to mark the occasion

Known for its age-old unique traditions, the tribal dominated state of Chhattisgarh came into existence on November 1, 2000 under the then NDA government led by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday, November 1 extended his greetings to the residents on ‘Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day’. Taking to the social media platform X, Chief Minister said that with grace and blessing of Chhattisgarh Mahtari (Mother), we are working to improve the state by following the path of Sushashan (Good Governance).

“The state is continuously moving forward in the direction of realising the vision with which the former prime minister of the country and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji had created it,” said CM Sai.

May our Chhattisgarh continue to move on the path of progress and prosperity; may this bowl of rice always remain full, this is my wish, he added.

He also made an appeal to the residents to light lamps at homes to celebrate the state’s foundation day. “On this unique occasion of Rajyaotsav (State Festival), let us celebrate Deepotsav along with Rajyaotsav by lighting lamps in our homes”.

CM Sai will be participating in the Deepotsav program at Ekatma Path in the capital city of Naya Raipur to mark the celebration of the state’s foundation day on Friday.

He also thanked President, Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders for their wishes on the State Foundation Day. “On behalf of 3 crore residents of the state, we express our heartfelt gratitude to you for your affectionate wishes. Under your dynamic guidance, our government is continuously working towards building a developed Chhattisgarh by following the path of good governance,” said CM Sai while thanking the Prime Minister.

Earlier PM Modi extends his wishes to the residents of Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and other states on their State Foundation Day.

“My heartfelt wishes to all the people of Chhattisgarh on the state’s foundation day. I wish that this state, adorned with a wonderful confluence of glorious folk traditions and tribal culture, continues to progress rapidly on the path of development, tweeted Prime Minister Modi.

Known for its age-old unique traditions, the tribal dominated state of Chhattisgarh came into existence on November 1, 2000 under the then NDA government led by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The state is home to unparalleled natural beauty, natural resources and a unique biodiversity with a population of around 3 crore with a significant chunk residing in remote forest regions.
