Malhotra emphasised that from March 2023 to November 2024, the presidential hall was predominantly booked on weekends for these religious events, preventing other members from reserving the space for their own functions. Former president of Khar Gymkhana, Nitin Gadekar, also weighed in on the matter, revealing that he and other members had witnessed one of these conversion events firsthand. Gadekar described the scene as disturbing, with trance music playing and individuals chanting religious messages. He expressed his shock that such activities were allowed to take place at the club, leading him and other members to protest and demand that Jemimah’s membership be revoked.
