EaseMyTrip holds the distinction of being the first company to declare its intention to hire 500 interns following the Finance Minister’s announcement of the internship scheme in the Union Budget. Established in 2008 by Nishant Pitti, Rikant Pitti, and Prashant Pitti, EaseMyTrip offers a comprehensive range of services including hotel bookings, air tickets, domestic and international holiday packages, bus bookings, and white-label services. The company has expanded its operations globally, with offices in Singapore, UAE, and Thailand, along with country-specific websites catering to the UAE, UK, and Thailand markets.

During the Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the government’s plan to launch a scheme aimed at providing internship opportunities for youth in the top 500 companies across India. This initiative forms a crucial part of the Union Budget 2024-25, with the objective of nurturing skill development and enhancing employment prospects for the country’s youth.

The internship program offers a range of benefits to interns, including a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 and a one-time assistance of Rs 6,000. This financial support aims to help interns cover their expenses and ensure a more comfortable experience during their internship period. Additionally, the companies hosting the internships have taken the responsibility of training the interns upon themselves, as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

By investing in the training and development of these young individuals, the companies are not only equipping them with valuable skills but also contributing to the overall growth and progress of the workforce. This approach reflects a commitment to nurturing talent and creating opportunities for aspiring professionals. Through this internship program, interns have the chance to gain hands-on experience, receive financial support, and benefit from the companies’ dedication to their professional growth.

Expressing his delight, Nishant Pitti, the CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, emphasized the company’s commitment to the government’s futuristic vision and growth strategy. He stated, “We are elated as we plan to add 500+ talented individuals to our team. This move supports the government’s futuristic vision for the country and perfectly aligns with our growth strategy. The expansion underscores our dedication to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders. As we invest in human capital, we intend to set new benchmarks for excellence in the travel sector in India.”

Pitti further praised the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s commitment to building a Viksit Bharat, applauding his visionary approach. He highlighted that EaseMyTrip’s plans to expand their team are a significant step towards empowering the youth, driving innovation, and contributing to the nation’s progress.
