In a third terrorist attack within 48 hours, terrorists opened fire on a temporary operating base (TOB) of the Indian Army in the remote area of Doda late at night on June 10. According to ADGP Anand Jain, an Indian Air Force jawan has been injured, and the border area is on high alert.

Multiple rounds were fired at the TOB by the terrorists, prompting immediate action from the security forces. Several teams of Army and police personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene to contain the situation and launch a search operation.

This incident marks the third attack in the region within a short span, highlighting an alarming surge in terrorist activities. The first attack occurred on June 9 in Reasi, where terrorists targeted a 53-seater bus en route from the Shiv Khori temple to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine near Teryath village in the Poni area.

The bus veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge following the gunfire around 6:15 PM, an hour before Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister in Delhi. This ghastly attack claimed the lives of at least 10 people, including a child and three women, and left more than 40 others injured.

The second attack took place early on Tuesday evening in Saida Sukhal village within the Hira Nagar police circle of Jammu’s Kathua district. Terrorists opened fire on residents, escalating the ongoing tension in the region.

The consecutive attacks have raised serious concerns about the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities are on high alert, and operations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators behind these brazen acts of violence. The Indian Army and police are working together to ensure the safety of civilians and to restore peace in the affected areas.
