In a harrowing incident, a Christian man finds himself accused of blasphemy against Islam, narrowly escaping a lynching as a mob debates whether he was the intended target of their violence. The turmoil escalated as the mob descended upon the shoe shop belonging to the Christian family, vandalising it under the directive of their leaders.

The upheaval extends to Mujahid Colony in Sargodha, where the Christian family resides, with the entire neighbourhood suffering vandalism and the targeting of a church.

Muslims in the area become increasingly agitated, issuing threats to anyone who dares to intervene, echoing the fate of Christian Nazir Masih. Once again, Pakistan’s Islamic Republic falls short in safeguarding its Christian populace.

Radical members of Tehreek-e-Labbaik further exacerbate the chaos, attacking Nazir Masih’s residence, setting ablaze his shoe factory, looting its contents, and attempting to breach his home.

As tensions escalate, reports emerge of extremist Muslims assaulting Christians in Majaheed Colony, Sargodha, vandalising multiple houses, and accusing one Christian man of desecrating the Quran.

The situation reaches a critical juncture with the tragic killing of Christian Nazir Masih, son of Sadiq Masih, by TLP extremists.

In a disturbing turn of events, the perpetrators destroy an ambulance and police van before seizing his body to incinerate it. The community grapples with shock and fear as a large gathering of Muslims converges at the victim’s residence, marking a dire escalation in sectarian tensions.

More details are awaited in this case.
