In a shocking incident, Swati Maliwal, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, has come forward with serious allegations of assault at the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by his close aide, Bibhav Kumar. The incident reportedly took place on May 13, prompting Maliwal to make an immediate PCR call from the Chief Minister’s residence.
In response, the Delhi Police swiftly arrived at the scene in Civil Lines. However, it is worth noting that no formal complaint has been lodged with the police as of yet. The matter remains under investigation, and further updates are awaited.

Bibhav Kumar, who served as the personal secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, recently garnered attention due to his dismissal by the Delhi Vigilance Department. The department cited an “illegal appointment” as the reason for his termination. This decision came in light of a 2007 case against Kumar, where he was accused of assault and obstructing a public servant from performing his duties. Adding to his legal troubles, Kumar was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in February in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. These developments have raised questions about his role and involvement in various controversial matters.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the recent allegations of assault made by former Delhi Commission for Women chairperson and AAP leader Swati Maliwal. BJP IT cell head, Amit Malviya, criticised Maliwal for her silence during AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, suggesting that she was not in India at that time.
Malviya pointed out that Maliwal had not made any public statement regarding Kejriwal’s arrest and was not even in the country at that time. He further highlighted that the alleged assault on Maliwal was reported from the Chief Minister’s residence, triggering a prompt response from Delhi Police.
Kapil Mishra, a senior BJP leader, also attacked the AAP over the issue and demanded clarification from them. He questioned whether Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar, had assaulted Maliwal and asked the Chief Minister’s office to issue a statement on the matter. Mishra expressed his hope that the news of a female Rajya Sabha MP being assaulted at the Chief Minister’s house was false.
The allegations made by Swati Maliwal have triggered a political storm, with the BJP targeting the AAP over the issue. The AAP, on the other hand, has not yet responded to these allegations. The matter remains under investigation, and further updates are awaited.
