According to the reports, Zunaid Khan ensnared the Hindu woman in an interfaith relationship. Later, he brought her to the hotel, where the woman’s body was found hanging from the fan. The police have apprehended Zunaid Khan and are currently interrogating him.

According to media reports, Police Inspector Suraj Tiwari opened the door to find a young woman hanging. Later, it was revealed that the woman was from Mahuganj.

Subsequently, the police have also taken Zunaid Khan into custody. The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Upon learning of the incident, officials from Hindu organisations also arrived at the scene and demanded that a murder case be filed against Zunaid Khan.

Station in-charge Santosh Dudhi addressed the media, stating that Junaid Khan has been taken into custody and the situation will become clearer once the report is received.

This is not the first case. Of late, there has been a spurt in the number of love jihad cases in different parts of the country.

Recently, in Karnataka, Neha Hiremath, daughter of a Congress Councillor, Niranjan Hiremath, was hacked to death by Fayaz in broad daylight. He brutally used the knife to stab her in the neck several times. Later on, Neha’s father went on record saying that his daughter was the victim of love jihad as she had disapproved of Fayaz’s proposal. He further added that all the Hindu parents should take care of their girls, as there is a bigger plan being executed by the Islamists as they target the Hindu girls.
