PM Modi slams Opposition’s “One Year, One PM” formula, accuses of auctioning Prime Ministerial Post

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent address at an election rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul has ignited a political storm, with his allegations against the Opposition alliance stirring controversy. PM Modi accused the alliance, known as the I.N.D.I Alliance, of considering a “One year, One PM” formula to tackle their leadership dilemma. His remarks have sparked intense political discourse, with BJP leaders condemning the Opposition’s alleged strategy as an attempt to auction the prime ministerial post.

During his address, PM Modi expressed grave concerns over the purported plan, asserting that such a rotational arrangement would not only invite international ridicule but also endanger the stability of the country’s governance. He emphasised the necessity for clarity in leadership, highlighting what he described as ambiguity within the Opposition ranks in contrast to the perceived unity within his own party.

PM Modi’s criticisms extended beyond the alleged rotational scheme to encompass the Congress party. He accused the Congress of advocating policies detrimental to the nation’s socio-economic fabric, particularly focusing on the contentious issue of wealth redistribution. PM Modi alleged that the Congress intends to seize properties and impose inheritance taxes to curry favour with specific voter demographics.

Additionally, he criticised the Congress’s stance on reservations, accusing the party of straying from the principles laid down by the Constitution makers and attempting to undermine the rights of marginalised communities.

In response to PM Modi’s allegations, the Opposition alliance has remained relatively tight-lipped, with no official statement addressing the “one year, one PM” speculation. However, the controversy has sparked reactions on social media platforms and in political circles, intensifying the heated debate surrounding the upcoming elections.

The unfolding political drama has deepened the chasm between the ruling BJP and Opposition parties, particularly the Congress, setting the stage for a fiercely contested electoral battle as the country gears up for the upcoming phases of voting. With each passing day, the stakes continue to rise, and the nation eagerly watches as the political landscape evolves amidst these contentious allegations and counter-allegations.
