The State Government of Uttar Pradesh has made it mandatory for all public schools to display photos of all the teaching staff members on the school walls. It is considered to be a proactive measure to combat teacher absenteeism and reduce the usage of proxies in the schools of the State. According to the directives, photographs of all the teachers, including instructors called Anudeshak, and para teachers called as Shiksha Mitra should be prominently displayed within classrooms. Additionally, the displays will also have essential information related to the teaching staff members, such as each teacher’s educational qualifications, the date on which the teacher joined the school, their mobile number, assigned classes and subjects, and any notable achievements such as State or national teacher awards.
