JNUSU Elections: ABVP announces potential candidates, hostel-to-hostel campaigning initiated to ensure victory

For the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has announced its potential candidates. This time from the ABVP, Arjun Anand, Umeshchandra Ajmera, Govind Dangi, Manjul Pawar, Kavya Pal, Medha Singh, Deepika Sharma, Unnati Panjikar, A S Stalin, Kanishk Gaur, Abhishek Singh, and Akash Kumar Ravani are in the field as potential probable candidates. Among these names, the final four names will be selected to fight for the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary positions of the JNUSU Central Panel. ABVP karyakartas are reaching out to every student through hostel-to-hostel and class-to-class campaigns. Additionally, ABVP is making the students aware of the positive activities carried out for student welfare in the past five years.

Apart from the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary, elections are also to be held for 42 councillors in the JNUSU elections. The elections for these 42 counsellors will take place in 16 schools and one special combined centre. Today was the last date for nomination filing. Tomorrow will be the last date for the withdrawal of nominations. Additionally, the elections will take place on March 22. For this, ABVP has started its pre-campaign. Karyakartas are effectively engaging with each student at all hostels and schools of JNU and are reaching out to them with the positive work done by the ABVP related to campus, admission, exams, results, hostel, and fellowship issues.

Vikas Patel, ABVP JNU’s secretary, said that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is fully prepared for the JNUSU elections. Through the potential JNUSU candidates who understand the issues among the students, we will keep a student-centric agenda for JNU students. Based on dialogue with students, ABVP will soon release its manifesto for a responsible and effective JNUSU. ABVP in JNU has always been a singular organisation striving to work towards understanding the problems, needs, and demands of the students and ensuring effective solutions accordingly.
