Aspiring engineers and technologists across the country are eagerly awaiting the release of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 results, scheduled to be announced tomorrow, March 16, 2024. The results will be published on the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
With the results, IISc Bangalore will also release GATE qualifying marks in 2024. GATE 2024 cutoff is expected to be 32+ for CSE, 30+ for ECE, and 26+ for EE. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use GATE scores to shortlist candidates during their recruitment process. The three categories of PSUs – 12 Maharatna, 12 Navratna, 62 Miniratna- 1 and 11 Miniratna- 2 will be using the GATE 2024 score to recruit candidates this year.

List of PSUs Using GATE 2024 Score for Recruitment
For the post of Executive Trainee 2024, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will be recruiting using the GATE 2024 score in these six engineering branches:

● Instrumentation Engineering
● Mechanical Engineering
A Navratna PSU- National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC), under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, will be recruiting for Tech posts of Executive Trainee using GATE 2024 score under these disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Information Technology. The salary package of NMDC through GATE ranges between Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,80,000 per month.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) will recruit candidates based on their GATE 2024 score under these engineering branches: Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Civil, and Computer Science. Salary after recruitment will range between Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,70,000 per month.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) will use the GATE 2024 score for GATE papers in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Metallurgical Engineering. The average salary package of IOCL is 12 LPA.
Airports Authority of India also known as AAI, will recruit candidates based on their GATE 2024 score in the following departments – Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronica and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Information Technology with a salary ranging between INR 40,000 to INR 1,40,000.
Engineers India Limited will also use the GATE 2024 score to hire candidates from these branches – Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

Maharatna PSUs are the most prominent and financially stable Public Sector Undertakings. They have a high score of 75 or above in six crucial categories profit, revenue, assets, exports, revenue, and market capitalization.
