A report from Payyolli, Kozhikode, suggests that Student Federation of India (SFI) staged a public trial and torture at Wayanad Veterinary College incident of Siddharth’s mysterious death on February 18. C R Amal, a student of R Sankar Memorial SNDP Yogam Arts and Science College, Koyilandy, was allegedly attacked by SFI activists. Amal has sustained injuries to his eyes and nose. He had been admitted to the Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. He alleged that he was beaten up by the SFI unit secretary and around 20 others.
The incident reportedly took place on March 1 afternoon. Amal says that around twenty SFI men called him and took him outside, and he was taken to a closed house in the neighbourhood. According to Amal, SBI blokes were led by R Abhay Krishna, the College Union Chairman. He was Amal’s classmate, too. Abhay sent back the accompanying college mates before starting to assault him. Then SFI goons started to punch him in his chest, nose and head.
When the bleeding started profusely from the nose, he was about to fall down, But the attackers made him keep on standing.
When his friends took him to the hospital, the assailants came there also. And asked the receptionist to write in the register that the injuries were due to an accident. The doctors referred the case to the medical college hospital. There also, the attackers came and gave wrong information to the doctors there.
When he reached home, the pain increased and he told his parents about it. And, parents took him to another hospital. Some students disclose that SFI unleashes these sorts of violence in most colleges having SFI-run student unions.
Another incident was reported at Pattambi Sanskrit College, Palakkad district. Several students were assaulted there by SFI men. Now, SFI is proving its true colour in every nook order of the State.
