The two-day Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) kicked off today in Puducherry. The ceremonial Deep Prajjwalan was conducted by ABVP National President Dr Rajsharan Shahi, National General Secretary Yagywalkya Shukla, and National Organising Secretary Ashish Chauhan. The event witnessed the participation of ABVP activists from across the country.
The primary objective of the meeting is to evaluate and strategise the action plan for organisational activities. The discussions commenced with a review of reports detailing various nationwide activities and initiatives undertaken by ABVP in recent months.
The two-day ABVP Central Working Committee meeting is notable for its focus on organisational activities and discussions pertaining to changes in the education sector, challenges faced by youth, current national dynamics, and societal conditions. The overarching goal is to devise a plan that steers the youth towards positive endeavors under ABVP’s leadership.
ABVP National President, Dr Rajsharan Shahi, remarked, “Puducherry, steeped in history, embodies the spirit of progress and unity. Presently, a new wave of enthusiasm sweeps across the nation, especially with significant events like the Consecration of Shri Ram’s murti at his birthplace. However, the concerning issue of low student attendance in educational institutions poses a threat to Bharat’s future. ABVP is actively addressing this through the ‘Parisar Chalo Campaign’, advocating for immediate and impactful measures to boost classroom attendance.”
ABVP National General Secretary, Yagywalkya Shukla, expressed, “The new National Education Policy aims to enact extensive reforms in the education sector. Urgent action is required on a large scale in this domain. The rise in incidents of paper leaks in states like Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand has deeply impacted the youth. It is imperative to implement stringent measures to prevent such leaks.”
