Pariksha Pe Charcha: Life is way bigger and deeper than exams

It is an amazing feeling for the younger generation when the Prime Minister of their country becomes a part of their lives to soothe and support them when they need a strong hand to help them overcome stress, fear, depression, and anxiety. The Macaulay education system has caused turmoil in the minds of kids preparing for board examinations and entrance tests.

Until the new education plan of action is systematically applied in all schools, colleges, and institutions, children will continue to face mental and emotional challenges, including an increase in despair, anxiety, drug misuse, and suicides. PM Narendra Modi’s strong relationship with society and decades of experience working on the ground, as well as his extensive knowledge of systems and policies executed on the ground and their impact on society, aided him in understanding children’s attitudes about the educational system and hardship in their lives.

So he began a “Pariksha Pe Charcha” discussion with students each year before the board exams. It enables parents and kids to view exams with a broader perspective and a positive outlook, reducing tension and stress and relaxing the mind. The question-and-answer session quickly clears up any confusion among kids and parents. Let’s see what students should know about their examinations and life.

The children must understand life from a broad perspective, and board exams are only a small part of this vast existence. The various facets of existence in different stages of life must be examined with great awareness, and we will see that the issues we encounter are but a drop in the ocean. The problems and difficulties we confront in our studies or in our lives are actually blessings in disguise, as they bring out inner qualities that we have never focused on yet are necessary for the growth we expect in our lives. When we approach obstacles with confidence and passion, our personality and character shine through.

We venerate Bhagwan Sri Ram because of his most difficult life and how he maintained a peaceful mind, great valour in trying circumstances, saw every opportunity to aid people with ease, and maintained serenity in all situations. When we look at his life, the most significant event was when he was asked to leave the palace and live in exile for 14 years. Can anyone simply absorb the fact that the next day Bhagwan Shri Ram was due to become King, but the night before he was told to proceed into exile for 14 years? Bhagwan Shri Ram accepted this difficult period in his life without doubt or difficulty, and he joyfully accepted a move out of the palace.
Sri Ram’s life gives the direction to the children how to see every difficulty, challenge with a calmer mind, accept change wholeheartedly, and strive with serenity and passion to attain their goals without worry, anxiety, fear, doubt, anger, negative pressure, becoming a drug addict, or having mental issues.

If you are under a lot of strain and stress because of your board exams, you will face more challenging tasks and situations in life. Study the lives of Bhagwan Shrikrishna, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Acharya Chanakya, as well as read the Bhagavad Gita repeatedly, to develop the mindset that difficulties and challenges are an inevitable component of life that must be met with proper planning and execution, teamwork, a focus on giving 100 percent effort rather than the outcome, courage, a calmer mind, and the development of yogic practices such as meditation and pranayama.

The most common source of stress for students is constantly worrying about the outcome of exams or tests. We must comprehend from the Bhagavad Gita that Bhagwan Krishna says that we should focus on our efforts and actions rather than the outcome of those actions. It is putting your all into anything you do rather than worrying about the outcome or result. Constantly thinking about the outcome builds stress and tension, weakening and derailing efforts. Understanding the underlying meaning of each shloka of the Bhagavad Gita by repeated reading or sitting with Guru will improve all aspects of our lives and add new dimensions to our existence.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s unfathomable struggle and victorious effort until his death are owing to his mother Jijamata’s teachings. She taught him stories from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the deeper meaning of the Bhagwan Gita from childhood and developed the necessary skills with the help of specialists. He designed himself in such a way that every challenge became an opportunity to conquer new forts and build society. Students should use his life as an example of how to live a fulfilling life rather than succumbing to undesirable pressures that lead to depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

When we study outstanding historical figures, we see that they not only emphasised materialistic parts of life, but also spiritual aspects. Peace of mind makes life easier by allowing you to produce effective and efficient efforts and actions to achieve your goals. As a result, focusing on both components is critical for developing an overall personality. The new education policy aims to develop the entirety of personality, with a concentration on life skills, entrepreneurship, communication skills, and technical abilities. Though the Modi government is making every effort to expedite its implementation, many reticent schools, colleges, and institutions are delaying the process.

Students, parents, and society should work together to ensure that new education policies are implemented as quickly and effectively as possible. Society should work together to make ongoing efforts and follow up with schools, colleges, and universities to ensure timely and effective implementation to make our students’ lives easier and improve their entire character. Until then, “pariksha pe charcha” is a useful way to cope with the stress and uncertainty of tests. Request that each kid listen to PM Modi to help them cope with the stress of board exams.

Best wishes to everyone for their examinations.
