Telangana: Christian pastor Ajay Babu warns of “civil war-like situation” and presses for partition of India

Christian pastor Ajay Babu Maddisetti has ignited controversy with his demand for a new Christian and Muslim Minorities Act in Telangana, modelled after the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. In a statement issued Pastor Maddisetti warned that failure to enact such a law could lead to a "civil war-like situation" and "demands for repartition of India on religious lines"

Christian Pastor Ajay Babu Maddisetti has urged Telangana’s newly elected Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, to enact a new Christian and Muslim Minorities Act along the lines of the SC/ST Atrocities Act; otherwise, the country will be forced to witness a civil war-like situation and rise in demand for repartition of Bharat on religious lines in the near future. He argues that this proposed law is to put pressure on Hindutva forces and organisations like the RSS, VHP, Bajrangdal, and BJP, alleging them to be attackers on Christians and Muslims on a large scale.

In his recent YouTube video, Pastor Ajay Babu, in charge of the Christian and Muslim Joint Action Committee of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, said due to the stringent SC/ST Act, there was a social change in the country and a decline in attacks. Keeping this in view, there is an immediate requirement to enact a similar act to protect Christians and Muslims from Hindutva forces. The proposed law should be so strong and powerful that the perpetrators would be beaten like street dogs and imprisoned for the rest of their lives.

Pastor Ajay Babu also alleges that RSS, Bajrangdal, VHP, and BJP forces killed and attacked numerous Christian pastors, as well as demolished a number of churches and mosques throughout the country, and that they have a critical view of Jesus and Prophet Mohammad. In continuation, he claims that if the government fails to control these types of forces, Hindus will go to the north, while Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and minorities will move to the south, demanding partition. The current religious conflict is larger than terrorism and naxalism.

Though pastor Ajay Babu is known for his controversial statements and anti-Hindu stance, he runs Jesuit Ministries (JCEC) in Khammam. His speeches and statements are dangerous as they are aimed at injecting an idea of separation in Christians and Muslims of Bharat with baseless allegations of demolishing churches and mosques. Recently, Ajay Babu joined the Congress Party and was appointed as Telangana Congress Campaign Committee Coordinator in November 2023.

With his speeches, it can be understood that Ajay Babu is part of the breaking India forces committed to completing the agenda of the Indian Christian missionary network to convert Hindus that has been active since the colonial period, and they never hide this agenda.

Though the resistance to Christianity in Bharat is as old as these evangelical forces, In the last four centuries, Christianity damaged the Bharat at his will with political and muscle power, but since independence, they have become proxies of anti-India forces.

Sensing the danger of these breaking India forces by common man, and with the advent of social media, the fight between pro- and anti-India forces has become a public discourse, resulting in a huge presence of pro- and anti-Christan channels like never before.

In these heated and open debates on Jesus, primarily questioning the intent and objectives of Christianity and the forces and decline of Christian followers in the West, Jesuits became intolerant and frustrated.

For several decades, Christians questioning Hindu culture and lifestyle was well propagated and advertised as part of secularism and freedom of expression, but when the same hatemongers are being exposed and discredited in today’s times by an ordinary Hindu, they start playing victim card or threatening to divide the country, a dangerous path that needs to be cut off at the earliest.
