In a gesture symbolising unity and harmony, Iqbal Ansari, the former litigant in the Ayodhya land dispute case, has been extended an invitation to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22. The invitation, presented by RSS workers on behalf of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, marks a significant moment as Ansari, who once played a crucial role in the legal proceedings, embraces the upcoming consecration with positivity.

Expressing his sentiments on the invitation, Iqbal Ansari stated, “I am happy that the idol of Bhagwan Ram is going to be installed. Ayodhya is the land of Hindu-Muslim-Sikh-Christian harmony. It will always remain intact.” He further acknowledged the Supreme Court’s verdict in 2019, emphasising the widespread respect within the Muslim community. “The Supreme Court gave a verdict, and Muslims across the country respected it. There was no protest or demonstration anywhere. People of Ayodhya are happy, and I am happy too,” he added.

The invitation was personally delivered to Ansari at his residence in Kotia Panjitola near the Ram Path in Ayodhya by RSS workers. Shama Parveen, Ansari’s daughter, confirmed the receipt of the invitation, mentioning that her father was handed the invite earlier in the day.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, scheduled for January 22, is expected to witness the presence of over 7,000 dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and various saints. The grand event is anticipated to attract more than a lakh devotees to the temple town, emphasising the significance of the historic moment.

As Ayodhya prepares for this momentous occasion, the inclusion of Iqbal Ansari in the guest list reflects a collective step towards fostering unity and inclusivity in the sacred city, echoing the sentiments of harmony that resonate across communities.
