As the world gears up for January 22, 2024, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is set to witness a grand consecration ceremony that brings together revered saints, spiritual leaders, and distinguished personalities from various domains. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, in an official tweet, provided key insights into the elaborate preparations for the momentous occasion.
Invitations have been extended far and wide, encompassing revered saints from all traditions and individuals who have significantly contributed to the nation’s honour. The inclusivity of the event is emphasised by the participation of saints from various sects, Shankaracharyas, Mahamandaleshwars, and spiritual leaders from Sikh and Buddhist communities.
One of the noteworthy aspects of the ceremony is the establishment of a Tent City in the new Teerth Kshetra Puram (Bag Bijaisi). This temporary city includes essential facilities such as six tubewells, six kitchen houses, and a hospital with ten beds. Remarkably, approximately 150 doctors from different parts of the country have volunteered to provide their services in rotation at this hospital, ensuring the well-being of the participants.
The spirit of community and service is further exemplified by the planned setup of langars, community kitchens, food distribution centres, and meal areas across the town. This collective effort aims to accommodate the needs of the vast gathering and promote a sense of unity and sharing.
About 4,000 saints from diverse sects have been invited to participate, emphasising the diverse and inclusive nature of the event. Invitations have also been extended to key figures in various domains, including Vamini Narayan, representatives from Art of Living, Gayatri Parivar, media houses, sports personalities, farmers, and figures from the art world.
The organisers have taken a step further by inviting veteran journalists who were actively engaged in their profession between 1984 and 1992, recognising their contributions to society.
In a gesture of remembrance and gratitude, the families of Kar Sevaks, who played a pivotal role in the historical journey leading to the construction of the temple, have also been extended invitations.
The meticulous craftsmanship of the idols to be consecrated is entrusted to three skilled sculptors – Ganesh Bhatt, Arun Yogiraj, and Satyanarayan Pandey. The chosen idol, capturing the tender essence of a five-year-old child, will play a central role in the consecration ceremony.
Commencing on January 16, the consecration ceremony rituals will be conducted by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid ji from Kashi and Lakshmikant Dikshit ji. The Pran Pratishtha Puja, a crucial part of the consecration, will be overseen by these esteemed individuals.
Following the main ceremony, a 48-day cycle of mandala puja (ritualistic worship) will be led by Vishwaprasann Teerth Ji, a revered spiritual figure. This extended period of worship emphasises the sacredness of the occasion and the enduring commitment to the spiritual sanctity of the newly consecrated temple.
