Know who is Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi

Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, known for his role in leading the Rajput Karni Sena, had been a prominent figure in various socio-religious movements in Rajasthan. The Rajput Karni Sena gained national attention for its involvement in controversies, particularly during protests against the release of the Bollywood film “Padmaavat” in 2018, where the group claimed that the movie distorted historical facts and depicted the Rajput community negatively.

Gogamedi’s demise has sent shockwaves through political and social circles, with many expressing grief over losing the influential leader. The Rajput Karni Sena, in a statement, condemned the brutal attack on their president and demanded swift action from law enforcement to apprehend the culprits.

Government officials and law enforcement agencies are collaborating to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice. Security has been heightened in Jaipur and surrounding areas to maintain order and prevent any potential unrest after the tragic event.

The news of Gogamedi’s death has triggered reactions from various quarters, with political leaders and activists expressing their condolences. The former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in a statement, conveyed deep sorrow over the incident and assured that the state government is committed to ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation.

As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge regarding the motive behind the assassination and the identity of the assailants. The tragic incident marks a significant development in the ongoing socio-political landscape and raises concerns about the safety of public figures involved in activism and social causes.
This event is likely to have broader implications on the socio-political dynamics in the region, and stakeholders are closely monitoring the situation for any potential ramifications.

It is not the first time that the members of the Karni Sena are subjected to such attacks. Last year in September Rohit Singh Rajput, town secretary of Karni Sena in Itarsi (Madhya Pradesh), was stabbed by three men in front of the municipality office. His friend, Sachin Patel, was also stabbed when he tried to save him. Both of them were taken to a private hospital, and it was here that Rajput was declared dead.
