Hamas epitomises brutality, barbarism and butchery

Chilling videos of atrocities exhibited incidents of inhuman violence perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th in Israel. The distinction between an ordinary killer and a terrorist becomes glaringly evident in the motive of the former and the ideology driving the latter

The other day, I had an opportunity to watch footage of incidents of inhumane violence perpetrated by Hamas on 7th October in Israel. The clear difference between an ordinary killer and a terrorist is the motive of the former and the ideology of the latter. However, that day I could visualise the culmination of three B, brutality, barbarism,  and Butchery in another B, beasts disguised as humans.

IDF had collated the footage from various sources, like the cameras terrorists had tied on their own bodies, CCTV recordings from the homes of the victims, vehicle dashboard cameras, road crossings CCTV and the signal conversations intercepted by it. After watching the entire set of visuals, only one conclusion could be made: when the predators kill they have the compulsion of satiating the hunger but when humans act like predators, the ideology from which they derive the motivation is responsible. If humanity has to save itself from such ideologies, it doesn’t have any choice but to unite and eliminate them from the face of earth.

In one clipping, which got recorded on a CCTV installed in a room of a house, apparently all the residents have been killed and a man is lying in pool of blood on the threshold of the room with bullet marks in his chest. One terrorist is incessantly hitting on his neck with a shovel possibly to decapitate him. It is clear the assailant is deriving out sadistic pleasure by trying to behead an already killed man but one fact what is beyond comprehension is the silence of the Hamas sympathizers and supporters on this predatory act. I remember having seen a similar kind of act when BAT ( Border Action Team) created by the Pakistani army ambushed, captured one of the soldiers of the Bhartiya LOC patrol party, beheaded him and played football with his head.

The entire act was filmed by the BAT itself and circulated on social media. Whether it is west Asia or LOC of Bharat-Pak, the ideology of terrorism is the same and unless preemptive and preventive actions are taken, will keep on terrorising humanity.

In another clipping, Hamas terrorists have intruded in a house where CCTV has been installed in small garden area; the footage shows parents are gunned down in front of two terrified kids. What imprints these terrorists have left on the psychology of the children?

Hamas terrorists attacked the Nova music festival on October 7. The sadist marauders recorded the mayhem they unleashed on unsuspecting revelers on the cameras attached to their bodies and the same was recovered by the IDF when the terrorists were captured or killed. Women were humiliated, mauled and raped by the terrorists: it is sad that none of the otherwise highly vocal women’s rights organisation raised their voice against this tyranny.

In their bid to take hostages, numbering 239, Hamas terrorists unleashed all kinds of horrifying tactics like dragging innocents to their pick-up vans and dumping them in the vehicles, treating them like war trophies. Apart from this footage, other information which is available on most of the news channels, show the innumerable rockets fired from Gaza on innocent civilians of Israel.

Democratic regimes have come out in support of Israel but the unfortunate fact is, at many places protest marches have been organised by Hamas supporters. In Bharat too, in many cities, Muslim mobs have been demonstrating in a highly partisan way. When Hamas started attacking Israel on October 7 these very people were conspicuously silent; in Bharat as well as in other countries. Those countries that are supporting Hamas knew about the preparations the terrorist outfit was making years before the attack. Why did they remain silent then?

Thousands of rockets, which Hamas has assembled, needed a plethora of raw materials; who supplied it to Gaza? It is easier to blame Iran for all the wrongdoings of Hamas but other countries that tacitly supported the arms-gathering activities of Hamas are equally to be blamed. In the past many years, billions of dollars have been channelised to Gaza for its civilian activities; the same have been diverted by Hamas for its terrorist activities. The silence of the donor countries is deplorable. Even the pipes which were supplied to Gaza for the drinking water pipeline project have been used by Hamas to fabricate rockets.

Today, when Israel is retaliating, all those, who were silent firstly on the preparations made by Hamas and secondly when it unleashed most inhuman attack on October 7 on the former, are crying foul. Israel has all the rights to defend itself and secure the release of the innocent hostages taken by Hamas. The terrorist outfit has very strategically created its bases under schools and hospitals in Gaza. One such huge underground facility was made underneath the biggest hospital Al Shifa. Israeli forces could have neutralised the facility where Hamas commanders are operating from and have amassed a cache of weapons in one go. But Israelis are exercising restraint and obviously cannot act in as inhuman way as Hamas has done.

Therefore, the IDF has encircled the said hospital and avoiding human shields created by Hamas, is targeting the terrorists. One should not forget that people of Gaza democratically elected Hamas government in the year 2006. What was compulsion for them to give preference to Hamas over moderate Fatah? Didn’t they know and understand the ideology, principles and philosophy of Hamas? When Hamas was digging tunnels, which are estimated to be around 500 kilometers in length, mute witnessing of the civilians of Gaza raise many questions.

Killing of innocents, especially children, is highly condemnable and deplorable anywhere in the world. Therefore, the visuals of killings of children in Gaza through Israeli counter attacks too are equally deplorable. But, there is a discernible difference between the method of children having been killed by the Hamas attackers and the children having been killed in the counter offensive of the Israeli forces. When Hamas killed them, the terrorists were screaming Allah hu Akbar as if their God has directed them to kill the innocents.

Whereas, the unfortunate deaths of Children in Gaza have taken place while either Hamas having created human shields deliberately or the collateral damage having been occurred despite precision bombings backed by actionable intelligence of the IDF.

There are many geo-political reasons attached to the Hamas misadventure. Firstly, it is an attempt to sabotage the Abraham accord, which has been signed by Israel, UAE and Bahrain and shortly expected to be joined by Saudi Arabia too. Obviously, the said accord is not in the interest of Iran, the chief supporter of Hamas. Secondly, the Bharat-Europe Economic Corridor, envisaged during the recent G20 summit and which passes through Saudi, Zordan and Israel, is giving many nations sleepless nights. China and Russia, though not visibly active in the current scenario of the Hamas- Israel conflict, are biggest supporters of Iran.

Middle- east countries who are the beneficiaries of both the arrangements, have to see through the conspiracy and take diplomatic initiatives in right earnest. In any case terrorist organisations like Hamas are not in the interests of any country. Today those nations who are not condemning Hamas and looking as bystanders may have to feel the heat tomorrow.
