RSS’ Mohan Bhagwat champions philanthropy and says, “I will never hesitate to beg for contributions for greater good”

In a compelling address at the commemorative event marking the 50th anniversary of the Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission in Nagpur, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat expressed his unwavering commitment to seeking donations for the betterment of society. The Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission’s 50th-anniversary event was not only a platform for reflection on the organisation’s past endeavours but also marked the inauguration of a heart hospital.

While addressing the gathering, RSS’ Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat lamented the unequal treatment that is meted out to the poor in commercial hospitals, noting instances where those without funds are denied entry. He drew attention to the stark reality that those without financial means are denied even basic access to healthcare in several facilities. This poignant observation underscored the urgent need for philanthropic initiatives, such as the medical mission being celebrated, to bridge the healthcare gap and ensure that medical services are accessible to all segments of society.

The event, which included the inauguration of a heart hospital, aligned with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praising the transformative impact of RSS ideology. Fadnavis highlighted evolving societal challenges, emphasising the need for collective action.
