More than hundred people from Mysuru, Bengaluru Chamarajanagar and Gundlapet gathered at Rameshwara temple Narasamangala in Karnataka to do Mrutunjaya Japa for longevity of soldiers.

After the puja 50 children from nearby Government school, were given note books and sports kits by NGO Abhyudaya which also is planning to support education here in long run. Children were told to study well and join army and serve the country.

According to Bellur Lakshmi Narayana, from One India Strong India, who himself is ex- Army praying for the soldiers, is our duty as they protect us. Previously, they were doing such prayers in Shankaracharya hill in  Srinagar Kashmir. For first time they have done the program at the ancient temple village in Karnataka.

The Rameshwara temple in Narasamangala Chamarajanagar is very ancient temple worshipped by Ganga and Hoysala kings more than 1400 years. It’s one of the biggest Shiva Linga of Karnataka. There is a huge potential to support local tourism and employment if regular puja is carried out at the temple.

After a long gap such mega puja was conducted and many local people assured that we will revive the temple activities. Rudrabhisheka for the Shiva Linga was done by presit Shri Darshan ji from Chamarajanagar.

People also prayed for establishing Karnataka regiment by Indian Army in Chamarajanagar.
