A shocking case of forced religious conversion that exposes Islamic fanaticism and the hunger of Islamists to convert all kaffirs to Islam was reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar. A minor boy returned home after eight years, who went missing and his family lost all hopes of returning him. On October 4, his father received a call from the police informing him that his son had been recovered. He rushed to the police station only to find that the minor had been converted to Islam and had become a five times Namazi. Soon, a case was lodged against the perpetrators and the family is trying to bring their son back to Sanatan Dharma. As of now, no arrest has been made in this case.

A First Information Report (number–347/2023) was registered at the Charthawal police station of the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh on October 14, 2023. The victim’s family on the other hand lives in Hardoi.

The complainant (minor’s father), Virendra Kumar, a resident of Gausva village in Hardoi district, told the police that his son went missing almost eight years ago from Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh. The minor has now been recovered from Nanglarai village in the district and he has been converted to Islam. He has undergone a circumcision as well.

He named Village Pradhan Afsaroon, clerics of Jamia Usmania Islamia, Matloob, and cleric Mukram Jamal as the accused who conspired this conversion trap for the minor. All these accused wanted to change the name of the minor Hindu boy in his Adhar Card from Vishal to Mohammad Umar.

Virendra demanded strict action against the perpetrators.

Organiser called the Station House Officer, Charthawal police station, OM Prakash Singh, on October 16, he said, no arrest in this case has been made so far. He added the minor’s father lodged a complaint against the culprits and action will be taken against them. The minor will undergo medical tests and record his statement in front of the magistrate, and then the arrest will happen.

Based on the complaint by Virendra, the accused have been booked under IPC section 420 (cheating) and sections 3 and 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act.

Organiser called Virendra Kumar on October 16, who was in his village, Goswa with his 17-year-old son Vishal. He was happy that his son returned home and was thanking god for the miracle, as he said.

Virendra said Vishal was abducted almost eight years ago from Raipur Kalan in Chandigarh. The family lost all hopes of getting him back however, on October 4, he received a call from the police of Muzaffarnagar about his recovery.

He said the people Vishal was living with wanted to change the name in his Adhar Card from Vishal to Mohammad Umar. The shopkeeper, however, informed the police, and then they swung into action.

Vishal told his father how he lived in a Madarsa before the Covid-19 lockdown and later became a labourer in the construction site. Virendra asked him if he offered Namaz; Vishal said, “Yes five times a day”.

Vishal said he belongs to Gautam Jati which falls in the Scheduled Caste category. He follows Hindu Dharma and wishes his son to do the same. Asked if he has grown a beard, Vishal said, no.

He said, there is a slight change in his behaviour which will get better with time. As of how he lives like a Hindu boy. Other than Vishal, Virendra has three other children, all of them go to the school. Virendra is willing to send Vishal to school.

Virendra is a farmer by profession and demands strict action against the clerics who converted Vishal to Islam, circumcised him, taught him how to offer Namaz and forced him to child labour.

The local Hindu activists protested against the abduction and forced conversion and then an FIR was lodged by the victim’s father.
