Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’, this program has become a mass movement. From every corner of the country, crores of people are participating in it. From every house in the country, soil is being taken to the birthplaces of the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the country…”

Lauding the success of Chandrayaan-3, the launch of the Aditya-L1 Solar Mission and the G-20 mission he said that India was being praised worldwide. He appealed to everyone to participate in Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign.

Dharmendra Pradhan said, “As Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is set to culminate with success, PM Modi has raised an initiative to collect soil from the birthplaces of the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the country and brought laurels to the country. I have had the honour of collecting soil from Yogi Sri Aurobindo Ghosh’s birthplace. This soil will reach Delhi in the last week of October. The collected soil will be a part of the Amrit Vatika which will be created near the Soldier’s Memorial in Kartavya Path.”
