Notably, PM Narendra Modi proposed commemorating August 14 as “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” in 2021. India was partitioned on the basis of religion on August 14, 1947. The Islamists, not the Hindus, were the ones who demanded the country be divided. And this division did not take place in silence or harmony. We frequently hear stories about the malfeasance committed by Islamists during the partition of India.

• Is it, not the Muslim League’s ideology (which resulted in the Partition of India) to hoist the flag of Pakistan in India and commemorate its win?
• Can the nation negate that every time the terrorists nabbed has some connection to Pakistan, or other Islamic terrorist groups like ISIS, Lashkar-e-Taiba, or Jaish-e-Mohammed?
• After all, why are these terrorist groups so intent on sowing terror throughout the world? Does it really need to be explained to the Indian people?
• What is the reason behind this love for Pakistan?
• Does the nation have any justification to argue that India cannot be partitioned once more in these kinds of circumstances?
• Can the nation deny the existence of the ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang and the ‘Aazadi’ gang which is flourishing in this country?
• Can the nation ignore the truth that while few police officers are needed in Hindu majority areas to ensure the smooth running of elections and other activities, on the other hand, more police or para-military forces are required in Hindu minority areas?
• Can the nation deny the fact that Friday has increasingly become a stone-pelting day? Who are the targets of the stones? Whose houses and Temples were vandalised by a stone-pelting violent mob?
The nation is currently faced with a number of such kinds of formidable questions, the answers to which must be found at lightning speed.
While the tricolour is being hoisted everywhere under the ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ campaign, videos of the tricolour having Islamic symbols instead of ‘Ashok Chakra’ have gone viral. Shouldn’t such incidents be considered preparations for a new partition of India?
I believe that commemorating “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” aims to raise awareness of the horrible event that occurred on August 14, 1947. The country and the Hindu society should remember the unbearable pain of partition. The country and the Hindu society should remember those more than 1.5 crore Indians who had suffered this pain. The country and the Hindu society should remember the lakhs of Hindus who were the victims of this partition. Their souls are still wandering without having been performed ‘Shraadh Tarpan’ by Hindus.
The nation and Hindu society should never forget the thousands of mothers and sisters whose dignity was violated. The nation and the Hindu community should never forget the thousands of Hindus who had to escape leaving their homes and businesses.
The nation has numerous external as well as internal threats. Can the nation refute the previous army chief of the Indian Army’s statement that the country would have to fight the war on “two and a half fronts”? It makes sense to have two fronts, but which is the half-front? Can the nation deny that the stone-pelting trend and incidents during the procession of Hindus are not increasing? Has it not happened on Hanuman Jayanti this year?
In Uttar Pradesh, a Muslim man was arrested for feeding poisoned fodder to Gaumata, which resulted in the deaths of almost 60 cows. Can the nation deny that in Islamist-dominated areas, Hindu houses are the sites of viral posters like “Yeh Ghar Bikau Hai”? Why is this hatred so prevalent? What is the reason behind this hatred?
The date “August 14” designates a day set aside to remember the horrors of partition as well as other contentious issues. It is a day to formally pledge that India will never again be partitioned. It is the day to carefully consider how to work for “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” It is the day to invoke the feeling of ‘Hindu Bhaav’.
