In the past few days, Nuh district of Haryana has seen one of the worst communal clashes in which the Islamist mob attacked Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s shobha yatra. The communal clashes resulted in the killing of at least six people and property and vehicles worth lakhs were destroyed in the Nuh violence.
With an aim to combat the situation, the Haryana Government’s home department issued an order which stated, “ “The State Government has decided to immediately shift the Battalion Headquarters of 2 IRB from Police Complex, Bhondsi to district Nuh to meet imminent operational exigencies of maintaining law and order, peace and security.”
Haryana Govt Home Department OrderOwing to the situation being tense in Haryana’s Faridabad, Nuh and Palwal as well as Gurugram, the internet and mobile services would remain suspended till August 5, 2023. According to the order that has been passed by the Haryana government the decision has been taken since the situation in these areas is considered to be tense and prevent the spread of further misinformation.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar had said that it is suspected that such acts of violence were executed through planned conspiracy. He further said that those involved in disrupting the law and order situation in the state would not be spared. 44 FIRS have been filed and more than 100 people have been arrested.
Home Minister of Haryana Anil Vij had also said that stringent action would be taken against those who are involved in such acts which resulted in injury of several policemen and other people.
