Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi strongly favoured the inclusion and teaching of the works of Pandit Deena Dayal Upadhyaya in Educational institutions across Bharat.

In a function organised by Ekatma Manavadha Aaivu Maiyyam (Research and Development of Foundation for integral Humanism Tamil Nadu Chapter) in Chennai, Mylapore, on July 29 to release of books “Complete works of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya”, Governor Ravi said the Britishers created the Dravidian and Aryan identities and set narratives to facilitate their ‘divide and rule’ policies. He said this narrative was new to Bharat, which it never knew and became a point of division in the society.

TN Governor said Pt Deendayal’s ideologies, teachings and actions are reflected in our daily life. He worked steadfastly hard for the country to march forward progressively and stressed that all are one (Ekatma). He said that we should limit our job to the publication of his works but should undertake research on Deendayal ‘s writings, works, ideologies, and services to the nation. We should ensure the inclusion of the same in our school and college syllabi for the benefit of students.

Lord Parameswaran created the universe. We lived unitedly for several thousand years. During the past thousand years, especially in the last 400 years, we became slaves to Britishers. The Western countries had strong military power and industrial revolution benefits. Due to the false premise that they were superior to us, we were forced to accept them with no other options. That had become our culture now. Because of them, there were divisions among us. Like Aryans, Dravidians promoted their peaceful continuance in the country. This had created havoc in the society. Now people are divided based on linguistic minorities. It has paved the way for separatism. We had faced innumerable problems, issued because of the colonial rulers. Bharat was the only country that proclaimed the importance of ’universal unity proudly’ and showed the light for other nations to follow this principle.

The country should remain stronger, and for that, we need Pt Deen Dayal’s philosophies and ideologies.

He said even in Tamil Nadu; there were 25 million people who called themselves linguistic minorities. Ravi said, “They are disallowed to teach their mother tongue in their schools. These people had lived in our state for centuries and suddenly became minorities”. TN Governor said, “it has done colossal damage including climate crisis, acute poverty, unacceptable inequality and unstable equilibrium”.

“The theory of Charles Darwin based on some skeletal similarities, between man and apes were totally unacceptable and that the theory of survival of the fittest was the moral justification to capitalism. Darwin took humans in the level of animals”, he pointed out.

He said, “Karl Marx was another person, who still continues to be followed, who divided society into the “haves and have nots”. Marx had justified British imperialism in Bharat and he was opposed to imperialism, it was a historical necessity in Bharat, for total annihilation of country’s society.

“Noted thinker and editor of Thuglak, Dr Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Chairman RDFIH and author of Complete works of Pt Deendyal Upadhyaya, Dr Nirmala Arulprakash, great-granddaughter of freedom fighter Rettaimaial Srinivasan and Pandithar Ayodhi Dasar, V Baskaran, ex-captain Olympic Gold winning Indian Hockey team, National Coach among others took part in the Book launch function” said Thuglak Editor Gurumurthy. He added that, “Pt Deendayal was beyond politics and was a multifaceted personality without mingling politics in his way. He was more concerned with individuals, country and the society. He was always thinking on these only during his life”.
