In yet another incident of Love Jihad, a youth identified as Shabbir Ansari (21), along with a Hindu girl, was detained by the Garhwa police from a hotel in the Garhwa district of Jharkhand on April 28 night.

Shabbir Ansari, a resident of Ambikapur of neighbouring Chhattisgarh, arrived in Garhwa on April 27 and stayed with his relative Amir Hasan in Jhaluwa village for a day, following which on April 28, he booked a hotel in the Garhwa town. It’s been learnt that he was planning to get married on April 29; however, somehow, the news reaches one of the Hindu outfits who informed the local police about that.

It’s been reported that the police then raided and nabbed the accused, Shabbir Ansari, along with the girl from Aadarsh hotel on April 28 night. Police have also seized a number of sim cards, along with photographs of some other girls from Shabbir’s possession. A list with phone numbers has also been seized from the accused.

It’s been revealed that Shabbir Ansari met the victim girl in a marriage ceremony around a couple of years ago, following which they started talking to each other quite frequently. Finally, the girl eloped with him to get married. It’s been learnt that Shabbir Ansari did not disclose his original identity to the victim and was interacting with her with a different identity. The victim hails from the neighbouring Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh.

Speaking with the Organiser, Vipul Dubey, State President of the Yogi Sena, informed that a few local karyakartas got some news about Shabbir Ansari, following which they informed the police, who raided the premises and detained the youth along with the girl.

“It is a part of a larger conspiracy. Otherwise why would a man who wants to marry a girl travel to another State to get married, if it’s a case of love then he should get married in his own town, the whole incident is need to be investigated thoroughly and everyone involved in it including those who facilitated the youth should be punished as per the law” added Vipul Dubey.

Meanwhile, in a video pertaining to the case, the victim girl can be heard saying that she was unaware of the real identity of Shabbir Ansari. However, it’s been learnt that later on, the girl, under pressure has changed her previous statement. In another video, the accused, Shabbir Ansari, can also be heard claiming that he has arrived in Garhwa to get married to the girl, and he also has asked his friend Shamshad to arrange witnesses for the marriage.

It is to be noted that a number of cases related to love Jihad have already come to the fore from the tribal-dominated State lately, where a Hindu youth Bhuvaneshvar Sahu had been brutally killed by a Muslim mob in Bemetara of Chhattisgarh last month, earlier it was learnt that the mob killed the Hindu youth after a minor scuffle between two students returning from school however later it was revealed that the root cause of the altercation between the communities was a number of cases of love Jihad in the village.
