Arab nation Bahrain has also added itself into that long list of cheerleaders who are always ready to label India as anti-minority. Gangster turned politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother’s encounter took place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on live TV on April 15, 2023. It has grabbed the attention of international headlines. This row has now landed in the Gulf region as well.

The misguided interference of the international media and international community with India’s internal matters is not new. However, their obsession to whitewash the image of the criminals, when it comes to a particular community is going unhinged. Videos from Bahrain’s parliament are circulating and going viral across social media spreading politically incorrect message.

The killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother in the presence of the police has been condemned in the Bahrain parliament. Bahrain’s Member of Parliament discussed that the mafia ringleader turned politician was barbarically killed by Hindu extremists. They pointed out the rise of Hindu extremism in India. Leaders in Bahrain parliament condemned the incident, but also called for curbing such incidents.

They said we treat the Indian community with all respect in Bahrain and across the Arab world. They added and claimed that nobody disturbs the Hindu community, rather they are defended here. However, they also without knowing the complete context went down the beaten path by parroting that the treatment Muslim community in India is unacceptable.

They have stretched the argument by saying that this should not stop at condemnation. Bahrain parliamentarians also tagged the Indian Government as extremist and said they are going too far. Further, the Bahrain MPs said that decisions should be taken to put a stop to the bloodshed of Muslims.

They urged that all the Arab nations should demand protection of Muslims in India. However, there is no formal response from the Indian authorities or Bahrain’s authorities on the issue as of now.

The Gulf country has also perceived this incident from a communal perspective as the slain hails from a particular community to which the international community is pouring their sympathy.

It is imperative to mention that such incidents are just some stepping stones for the deep state partner in crime to tarnish Indian democracy and communal harmony. The international anti-Indian toolkit’s stakeholders’ narcissistic and malicious intents must be called out which they have disguised with their not so innocent altruistic approach.
