Guwahati: Another Hindu girl lost her life in Love Jihad, this time in Guwahati. The Guwahati Police on March 30 arrested Moidul Ali from the Hajo area for his involvement in the murder of Tulika Das in October 2022.
Tulika Das, a nurse by profession, was found dead at her rented house in Super Market area in Guwahati’s Dispur on October 2, 2022. The owner of the house found Tulika’s dead body stained in blood. A case was registered at Dispur police station, but police were clueless about the murderer.
Guwahati city police continued the investigation of the heinous murder of the young nurse inside her rented house in the city. Finally, after almost 6 months of the murder, the Dispur Police traced the accused and arrested him from Hajo area on March 30.
On police interrogation, the accused, Moidul Ali confessed that he trapped the deceased Tulika Das posing himself as a Hindu boy. They had an affair for over one year. But when they decided to get married, Love Jihadi Moidul Ali refused to introduce her to his parents and family.
Moidul feared that the victim girl would know her actual identity if he introduced her to his family. So he pressured her to get married without the consent of their families. He was even ready to get married in a temple in Hindu rituals. But the victim refused to do that, and they argued over it.
And eventually, she came to know his true identity. Finally, on October 2, night Love Jihadi Moidul tried to abduct Tulika with the help of one of his fried. When she refused to go with him, Moidul Ali stabbed her. Murderer Moidul Ali was absconding from that day as he was known to Tulika’s friend as a Hindu boy.
Even his phone number was registered in a Hindu boy’s name. After a long investigation, Guwahati police found that the deceased Tulika’s boyfriend was a Muslim boy who possessed to be a Hindu boy. The police investigation team started their investigation in that route, and finally on March 30 they succeeded in nabbing the murderer Moidul Ali after six months of the crime.
Meanwhile, a married Muslim man identified as Sadeq Ali of Basugaon town in Chirang district trapped a 16 years old tribal girl from Bongaigaon district, posing himself as a Hindu boy. Father of two children, Sadeq Ali abducted the minor girl and brought her to his home in Basugaon. Knowing his actual identity, the minor girl informed the incident to some of the neighbours of Sadeq Ali.
After knowing the truth, hundreds of local people gathered in Sadeq Ali’s house and rescued the minor girl. The victim’s father lodged an FIR against Sadeq Ali in Basugaon police station. Police arrested Sadeq and handed over the minor girl to her family.
