All eyes are on the G20 Business Summit to be held from April 4 to April 6 in Nagaland State capital Kohima. According to official sources, about 120 delegates from G20 countries, European countries and guest countries will be attending the Summit.

More than 70 delegates will be from foreign countries, while business corporate from India and foreign countries will also join.

Union Ministers, besides several senior officers from the Government of India, will be attending the meeting.

The NDPP-BJP Government hopes that the meeting would become a big success and also open the doors for future partnerships.

Sources said the G20 Business Summit in Kohima would be a good step for showing State as an ‘investment destination’ for foreign countries.

Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam said this would be one of the rare kind of opportunities for the State Government to present the State’s potential to all the big developed countries.

He said this rare opportunity would enable the delegates to interact with the various departmental officials and the entrepreneurs of the State.

Nagaland’s Agriculture & allied sector and food processing industry has huge potential, which remains untapped so far, and therefore the focus of the Summit will be on the Agriculture and allied sector and also the tourism potential of the State.

Most of the delegates will be arriving in Dimapur by special flights on April 4.

Besides the main business meetings, presentations, discussions, and breakout sessions scheduled on April 5, the State Government hopes to expose the delegates to the local cuisine. The Agriculture and allied industries sectors will put up stalls to exhibit their products.
