Yet another Shraddha Walker-like murder case has come to light from Bengaluru city of Karnataka. Here an identified dead body of a girl was recovered from near the Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal on March 13. The legs and hands of the body were broken and the remains were stuffed into a plastic drum.
Soon after the body was recovered the Bengaluru police began investigations. After three days to the alleged murder, the police marked eight accused in relation to the case. Today (March 17) the officials arrested three of them namely Shakib, Kamal and Tanveer. The police also informed that five of the named suspects are absconding.

Railways SP S K Sowmyalatha informed the media saying, the woman has been identified as Tamanna (27), the wife of Intiqab, who worked as an AC mechanic in Anekal. She said that three people, Kamal (21), Tanveer (28) and Shakib (25), who worked as labourers in Bengaluru and hail from Bihar, had been arrested in the case.
The prime accused in the case, she added, was Intiqab’s brother Nawab, who is absconding.
The officer said, Tamanna hails from Bihar and was married to Afroz. They separated after some time. She then developed a relationship with Intiqab, who was Afroz’s relative. In June last year, Tamanna came to Bengaluru and married Intiqab.
“Intiqab’s family was angry that their reputation had been ruined because of Tamanna. On March 12, Nawab invited Intiqab and Tamanna to his house to talk about the issue in Bihar because of their marriage. It was Intiqab’s first marriage,” the police told the media.
Intiqab went to Nawab’s house in Kalasipalya and began arguing. Nawab asked Intiqab to return to Bihar and told him that he would send Tamanna back so that the issue could be resolved. Trusting his brother, Intiqab returned home.
Nawab had some other plans. He with the other accused allegedly strangulated Tamanna and then dumped her body inside a plastic drum.
On March 12, around 11.45 pm, the accused arrived at Sir M Visvesvaraya terminal in an auto-rickshaw, placed the plastic drum near the sliding door and left, the police added. The drum was noticed the next day by Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel.
Apart from the CCTV footage, what helped the police was an address written on the plastic drum. Jamal is one of the absconding accused in the case. Masar, Asab and Sabul are the other accused, teams have been tracking them for the arrests.
The police also clarified that this murder has nothing to do with the cases reported in January and December. Notably, in January this year, a hardware engineer identified as Nassir Hussain from Kolkata smothered his wif Naz Khanum to death. The other case that was reported in December last year from Bengaluru was the murder of Sunitha C.
