Guwahati: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief and MP Maulana Baddrudin Ajmal has said that after 20 years, India will be run by Muslims. In a party meeting in the Dabaka area of Nagaon district, the controversial Muslim leader said that after 20 years, the country would be governed by boys and girls belonging to the Muslim community.

This was not the first time Ajmal made headlines, as earlier, he had claimed that Muslim people in Assam were keeping the Assamese language alive.

“The tradition of the Assamese language has been preserved, and Muslims have also protected it only in Assam. That is something I can argue with. Even after that, Assamese people refer to us as Bangladeshis,” Ajmal added.

Soon after this comment of Ajmal, Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika criticised his comments and said that Ajmal, who can’t speak Assamese language properly, talks about preserving the culture and heritage of Assam by Muslim boys and girls.

“There is no need for Badruddin Ajmal to protect our language because Assamese people know how to protest and preserve it,” the minister Hazarika opined. Earlier, MLA of Badaruddin Ajmal led AIUDF demanded job reservation for the Muslim community based on population.

Not only that, MLA Karimuddin Barbhuyan claimed that AIUDF will form the Government in Assam by the 2031 election. It should be mentioned that with population blasts and illegal infiltration, Assam now has a sizable Muslim population of over 1.25 crore. Recently Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned in the Assam assembly that Muslims are now the majority community in Assam.
